About Larvetta

NDCVP57960 FIXMy parents gifted me with the first name Larvetta (pronounced how it’s spelled) in honor of my maternal grandmother who died way too early for me to meet her. I had disliked my name so much so that I changed the pronunciation to La-vetta while in elementary school to fit in because my friends could not pronounce it correctly and would tease me. So, by the time I completed college, I embrace the correct spelling of my name if you could not pronounce it, I would politely and confidently pronounce it and share its origin.

As I began my career as a communications specialist with a degree in Radio/TV/Film from Clark Atlanta University for top advertising agencies for close to three years, I had  earned a reputation as a master connector and a multicultural strategic thinker. For clients, like Oldsmobile, Jack-Daniels, Wal-Mart, my team managed to ink deals with The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Iyanla Vanzant and George Fraser.  However, it wasn’t until March of 2000, that I left my posh corporate job to embark on a journey to become a full time entrepreneur and I haven’t looked back. While I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, which led me to have a T-shirt business while in college for one of Atlanta’s largest entertainment event, I pursued the job thing to satisfy my parents. It seemed like the right thing to do considering my parents helped to pay for my college education.

I truly believe that God ordains every experience in your life to adopt a spirit of gratitude, humility and love. I am humbled by the recognition as one of Chicago’s Game Changers Under 40 by Ariel Capital, 2011 Everyday Hero by Verizon and named 2011 White House Project Community Advocate. As I reflect over my life as a successful entrepreneur for over 15 years,  I remain committed to helping to motivate everyone, especially minorities, to lead a life of purpose, which becomes your brand. It is my goal to serve as your radio show host, your branding coach, and or your next motivational speaker.
